Neuriane. Get in touch

See where your students get stuck. Help them move forward.

Neuriane reads your students' reasoning, pinpoints the difficulty holding them back and sends them prompts to work past it. You see which concepts to revisit in class.

Corporate finance · Master's Seminar 3 Analysing

Student's answer

“For the NPV, I subtracted the machine's depreciation from the cash flows each year, on top of the initial €1M investment.”

Difficulty found

Depreciation is not a cash outflow, and the investment is already counted in year 0. So it is subtracted twice.

Brief

Calculate the net present value of the project over five years.

What the student writes

For the NPV, I subtracted the machine's depreciation from the cash flows each year, on top of the initial €1M investment.

It is clearly written and the method looks sound. That is exactly what makes the error hard to spot across a set of answers.

Brief

Calculate the net present value of the project over five years.

What the student wrote

For the NPV, I subtracted the machine's depreciation from the cash flows each year, on top of the initial €1M investment.

Difficulty found

Double counting. Depreciation is not a cash outflow, and the investment has already been counted in full in year 0.

Prompts sent to the student
01

Does depreciation take cash out of the business that year?

02

How many times in total did you count the €1M investment?

03

If depreciation is not a cash flow, through what channel does it still affect cash?

What you see before the next session

Readable observations: how many students are stuck on what, and on which precise concept.

Finance · Master's, group B Seminar 3 · 28 responses Summary

Difficulties found in the group

Subtract depreciation from the cash flows 11 / 28
Miss the tax shield from depreciation 7 / 28
Build the cash flows correctly 10 / 28

How to read this: of the 28 responses submitted, 11 subtract depreciation from the cash flows. That is the difficulty to tackle first in the next class.

Sample view — illustrative figures, not real data.

What recurs in the group

The confusions shared by several students: the ones worth addressing with everyone.

What has been cleared

If the same difficulty reappears next seminar, you see it. If it is gone, you see that too.

Before the exam

The summary arrives between the submissions and your next session, not after the exam.

Testimonials and case studies

We will publish teacher feedback and experiment reports here as soon as the pilot produces them, and only with the written consent of the people involved. As long as this section is empty, there is nothing to show.

Data security

What we do with your students' work

Six concrete answers. Each one matches a technical decision already taken, not an intention.

What we receive

Only what the student submits to Neuriane themselves: their answer and their reasoning. Plus the identifier you assign them, and the subject and level of the course. We never collect work handed in elsewhere.

Student identity

You can use anonymous identifiers that only you can link back to your students. In that case Neuriane holds no personally identifying data at all.

Model training

Your students' work is not used to train any model, neither by us nor by our providers. It is a condition of our supplier contracts.

Hosting

We will tell you the host, the data-centre country and the full list of our providers on request, before anything is submitted.

Retention and deletion

You can request deletion of all your course data at any time, without justification and with no waiting period.

What you control

You decide which courses are involved and whether to anonymise, and you can export or delete your data yourself without going through us.

Questions

What we get asked most often

What does it cost, and what happens after the pilot?

Get in touch: contact@neuriane.fr. We set the terms with you, based on group size and duration.

How much time do I need to put in?

Set-up is three steps: create the course, post a brief, invite your students. After that you do nothing more than you do today — students submit, you get the summary.

We also ask for short feedback after each analysed assignment. That is the only real load, and it is deliberately minimal.

Which subjects are available today?

The six examples above — finance, statistics, law, economics, computing, biology — illustrate difficulties we know how to handle today.

A subject missing from that list is not ruled out: it needs calibration with a teacher in that field. Write to us and tell us which one; that is what sets our priority order.

Can my students use it to cheat?

Neuriane never produces text usable as an answer — only questions. A student trying to use it like a generative AI would get nothing to copy. That is a design constraint, not a filter that can be switched off.

Does it replace me?

No. Neuriane generates no grade, no comment, no model answer. Assessment stays entirely yours. What the tool does is make visible what a well-written answer no longer shows.
